As the Buyer, you will manage the indirect purchasing needs of the plant.
You'll need to have a working knowledge of Legal, Customs and/or Stock Brokerage concerning automotive parts.
As the Buyer, you'll manage all indirect purchasing activities, review contracts, handle price negotiations, vendor sourcing, and assist with the development of supply chain partnerships & purchasing strategies.
Other areas of responsibility are:
Assisting with inventory management regarding levels & correct discrepancies Maintaining supplier databases and purchasing records Helping to improve purchasing systems and processes Working with Quality to ensure purchased items meet quality standards Performing root cause analysis in response to failures of products / services & take corrective action.
