The Orangetheory Head Coach is the perfect blend of coaching, member relations, hiring and growing staff, as well as generating sales to increase the studio membership base.
Head Coaches are the faces behind the fast paced, high-energy environment created in our studios.
The head coaches are responsible for recruiting and developing a coaching staff devoted to member experience, working alongside the Studio Leader to set an appropriate class schedule, promote studio growth, maintain utilization, and create a positive culture in which members and staff thrive.
Our job requires certification from one of five nationally recognized certifying boards (ACE, AFAA, NASM, ACSM, or NSCA), a current CPR/AED certification and completion of an OTFit Certification course.
As a Nichefitness Head Coach, we commit to delivering powerful and motivating high-intensity interval training classes each week, attend a weekly staff and leadership meeting to share insight on studio performance and gain knowledge on upcoming promotions/events, spend time developing our coaching staff through class attendance, and maintain proper function and cleanliness of studio equipment.
As the head coach, you gain responsibility for more than coaching; you create an environment dedicated to giving more life.
General Coach 14 Orangetheory Fitness classes per week in Home-studio 40 hours per week in studio Create a positive, high energy, respectful Orangetheory Studio environment.
Update metrics for leadership calls weekly Attend and help lead weekly leadership and studio staff meetings.
Maintain a healthy lifestyle and lead by example; aka Be an Orange Ambassador.
Address equipment maintenance issues in a timely manner to ensure all equipment remains in working order - maintain equipment maintenance log.
Work with Studio Leader to direct Special events that pertain to fitness Plan and attend at least one marketing event per quarter.
Maintains current, active employee files which include resume, CPR cards, fitness certifications, disciplinary items, emergency contact info, I-9 form and more.
Completes all mandatory assignments on OU delivered by Corporate, RTL or EDF.
Stay current with Certification (PT, and OTFit) Maintain a current CPR/AED Certificate.
Weekly one on one strategic coaching sessions with each coach on staff.
Take a minimum of 2 classes to ensure coaches are staying brand consistent and provide feedback.
Update studio announcements in front of template binder at coaches' station and print extra copy to be housed at front desk for SA.
Coach at least 14 classes per week.
Maintaining organization and cleanliness of training room and keeping cleaning checklist updated.
Assist Studio Leader with addressing member concerns involving coaches, workouts, music, class times, etc.
Check email daily.
Attends all relative, mandatory Webinars and other requested Corporate or Regional Meetings.
Involved in community outreach and studio outreach activities to grow business Attend Quarterly Offsite and Head Coaches Workshop.
Conduct Educational Workshops for members and coaches.
Work with Executive Director of Fitness to Recruit, Hire, and Lead Coaching staff.
