DETAILS


  • This role involves managing both production and non-production DB2 LUW data environments on Hewlett-Packard servers under Windows operating systems from 2012 to 2019.
  • The DBA will handle all aspects of database administration, including the design of physical data storage, maintenance, access, and security administration.
  • Key responsibilities include optimizing database access, performing backup and recovery, configuring database parameters, and aligning databases with logical data models.
  • Candidates must have substantial experience in DB2 LUW administration, excellent SQL skills, and a strong background in Data Manipulation Language (DML) and Data Definition Language (DDL).
  • They should also be proficient in data management concepts like normalization and data modeling.
  • The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, along with 5 to 10 years of relevant experience.
  • The DBA is expected to work closely with project management, application designers, and other data administrators, contributing to project implementations and maintaining rigorous documentation standards.
