Position Full-Time / Direct-Hire Montgomery, AL1st 6:
30am - 4:
45pmOvertime 1.
5x overtime after 40 hrs/weekPosition Control and monitor supplier quality parts and systems to drive continuous improvement in an OEM automotive environment.
Essential Implement the quality activities for assigned suppliersPerform the planned activities for part approval and improvement effectively and efficientlyMonitor vendors to supply high quality parts to production lines continuouslyReview and interpret statistical information and reports in order to draw conclusions regarding current production efficiency and qualityDevelop testing and inspection methods for assigned suppliers and partsClaim defective parts from suppliers and request improvementsServe as liaison between suppliers and various departmentsWrite detailed reports on quality issuesCommunicate effectively at various levels within the organizationsCommunicate effectively with internal and external customers and suppliersAdminister, coordinate, and comply with all Business Management System (BMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and Safety ManagementSystem (SMS) requirementsMeet all other requirements as assignedPosition EducationBachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering or equivalent preferredRelated Experience0 - 10 years job related experience preferredAutomotive quality experience desiredQuality casting experienceSkills / KnowledgeMSWord, Excel, PowerPointSAP desiredFundamental understanding of gasoline engine theory and function preferred o Competitive wages and bonus potentialo 15 paid holidays, 3 personal days, and 10 paid vacation dayso 93% Company-paid Medical, Dental, and Vision for Team Members and their families effective your first day!o 28 paid days off (depending on date of hire)o 401(k) savings plan with immediate company matchingo Discounts on new vehicleso Tuition assistance program availableo Fitness center, onsite cafeterias, and free team wearAdditional Recent engineering graduates are encouraged to apply!General working knowledge of combustion engine is preferredSome travel during the year would be required to visit suppliers, possibly outside U.
