The Director, on a 24-hour basis, is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, and evaluating the activities of one or more specific areas of Cardiovascular Services (Cath Lab, CVR).As a member of the Nursing Service Management Team, the Director has input into Nursing Service long- and short-term goals and objectives, policy development, and priority setting.The Director is responsible for communicating these activities to the staff.TheDirector is also responsible for maintaining collegial relationships with physicians and communicating with key physicians on a regular basis concerning clinical practice, unit activities, and overall satisfaction. Must be a graduate of a School of Nursing, BS in healthcare, health administration, science, management or BSN/Master s preferred; Current RN Licensure; BCLS certification within 3 months; ACLS certification preferred; CNOR certification preferred; Progressive experience in cardiac nursing and nursing management (5 years clinical practice with3 years management experience required.) Evidence of commitment to continuing education. cb Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
