The Cardiac Monitor Technician assists the nursing staff in monitoring the heart rhythms of patients on telemetry. The ability to interpret dysrhythmias and respond quickly and appropriately in the notification of nursing staff is essential. Some record keeping and posting of rhythm strips may be required.
Education /
Experience:High School graduate or equivalent. Successful completion of the Basic Life Support (BLS) program
License / Certification:BLS
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to score 100%25%20on facility rhythm strip examination,annually.
Ability to interact with customers, peers, physicians, and other hospital staff in a professional manner.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
