The mission of the United States Air Force is to fly, fight and winin air, space and cyberspace.
Faculty members develop curriculum and teach and conduct research in the areas of national security decision making, regional and cultural studies and the international security environment. This includes assisting students undertaking professional research and writing. Provides institutional service to the Air War College and the Commander/President of Air University.

DUTIES:
Responsibilities include teaching graduate level seminars in the International Security Studies core curriculum: US National Security and Decision-Making; Regional and Cultural Studies; Global Security as well as electives in area(s) of specialization; advising student research; and service to the institution. Develops curriculum, participates in war gaming and national security exercises. Engages in professional research and writing in areas of expertise. Actively seeks publication of book manuscripts as well as scholarly works such as articles, monographs, and book reviews for publication in peer-reviewed scholarly journals, professional journals and other outlets. Presents results of research at conferences and symposia. Supervises and advises student research in course work, research projects and professional studies papers. Serves in faculty positions supporting personnel and programs. Participates with other professional military education schools, professional organizations, AF/DoD institutions, universities and colleges for professional development. Delivers lectures, conducts seminars, participates in panel discussions related to AWC curriculum and in area of expertise at various institutions such as other professional military education schools, civilian institutions, and other learned societies.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
AWC is an interdisciplinary school that requires a unique synergy of academic and operational expertise to a focus at the strategic and operational level of war.
A PhD. is required in International Relations, Political Science, National Security Affairs, History, or a related field with an emphasis on international security policy. Must have expertise in international security issues and a regional expertise that complements departmental needs. Academic teaching experience and a suitable publication record are required. Teaching experience at the graduate level is highly desirable.
A PhD is required.

Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. In order to qualify for this position, you must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance.
You will be required to do some travel.
This job is being filled by an alternative hiring process and is not in the competitive civil service. This is an Administratively Determined position in the excepted service.
The position will be an initial three year appointment with a one-year probationary period, with the potential for continued reappointment for additional 3-5 year terms.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
