In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions, for the GS-1702, Education and Training Technician Series. Specialized
Experience:
One year of specialized experience for GS-06 grade/level for External Candidates, or GS-05 grade/level for Current Federal Employees, or equivalent in the federal service, which includes knowledge of various office automation software processing procedures and function keys and the similarities and differences among software types to produce a wide range of documents, such as graphics or tables within text, to edit and reformat electronic drafts, and to update and revise existing databases or spreadsheets. Knowledge of a body of rules, procedures, or operations applicable to clerical assignments, such as preparing various routine correspondence/reports, maintaining files/records, and reviewing and processing mail. A fully qualified typist is required. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the GS-06 grade/level for External Candidates, or GS-05 grade/level for Current Federal Employees grade/level. FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS:
Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in- grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-06 grade/level for External Candidates, or GS-05 grade/level for Current Federal Employees is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-07 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE:
Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs):
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of the rules, concepts, techniques, procedures, and operations of an education/training system(s). 2. Ability to use one or more established computer programs/software to enter, maintain, sort, and retrieve organizational and/or program data. 3. Ability to recognize and have skills to sufficiently evaluate and manage information with a variety of educational programs. 4. Knowledge of office functions to screen telephone calls and visitors, prepare and review correspondence, and perform other administrative work of CS. 5. Ability to plan, organize work, and meet identified deadlines. 6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, using tact and courtesy. PART-TIME OR UNPAID
Experience:
Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK
Experience:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
