HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (MILITARY)

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Group Coverage Qualification Standard for Clerical and Administrative Support Positions SPECIALIZED
Experience:
Applicants must have at least 1 year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-06, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes administering the Unit Personnel Management Roster (UPMR) and identifies and resolves problems involving mismatches, overgrade/undergrade and/or overage situations; preparing reports and processing the unit/wings commander manning plans; reviewing initial duty assignment information and updates all requested duty information changes; conducting staff assistance visits and trains personnel ( Air Reserve Technician, Air Guard Reserves, traditional reservists, civilian employees, supervisors, managers, etc) within the wing for various Force Management programs; advising commander and staff on various Force Management programs. OR EDUCATION:
One full year of graduate level education in a field directly related which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. NOTE:
You must submit a copy of your transcripts. OR COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. NOTE:

Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of military personnel policies, procedures, rules, guidelines, and publications. Knowledge of the unit mission. Knowledge of automated systems, personal computers, and software. Ability to analyze data/products. Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of individuals, both orally and in writing. Knowledge and control of the English language. Knowledge of Installation Personnel Readiness programs. PART-TIME OR UNPAID
Experience:
Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK
Experience:
Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
