Qualifications:
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions; 0303 Series. SPECIALIZED
Experience:
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-06 or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes providing oversight to support and student operations functions, oversee and manage day-to-day operations such as coordinating and executing course and academic events; Serve as the point of contact for students, guests and faculty; Provide technical support and computer related assistance to users; Maintain curriculum and internal resources for use by the course directors and their assistants; Knowledge of the standard workstation operating system and office productivity applications for word processing, presentations, spreadsheets, and databases in order to train and assist customers in running applications, installing and upgrading workstations, managing printing, troubleshooting and optimization, and managing disks; Knowledge of budget execution processes and practices; Knowledge of the functions, capabilities and limitations of a variety of computers, computer network systems, and programs as well as computer-related software and hardware in order to install, test, upgrade, configure, diagnose, and maintain proper functionality; Knowledge of commonly used budgetary methods, practices, procedures. FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS:
Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in -grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-06 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-07 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs):
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of mission, objectives, organizational structure, operating programs, and financial, personnel, and material requirements of the AFJAG School as well as the interrelationship and extent of lines of authority within School the TJAG Corp and the DoD legal educational community, is desirable. 2. Knowledge of computer systems and software. 3. Knowledge of Internet browsers, electronic mail, and website design, as well as, network security environment, network configuration, standard network operating system service and support sharing and securing resources involving technical applications. 4. Knowledge of application of procedures, methods, and techniques which support the analysis and administration of the budget. 5. Knowledge of a wide variety of budgetary methods, practices, policies, procedures, regulations, and precedents; and a wide range of source, types, and methods of funding. 6. Skill in written and oral communications and presentation. 7. Skill in gathering, assembling, and analyzing source of factual information, such as that found in basic accounting reports, academic reports, or inventory and supply data. 8. Skill in preparing written forms, schedules, and reports related to the obligation and expenditures of funds. 9. Ability to develop, plan, organize, coordinate, and meet deadlines under short suspense's and stressful conditions. VOLUNTEER WORK

Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
