Job Description We are searching for a qualified Human Resources Assistant to provide administrative support to our Human Resources department.
Reporting to the company Administrator, the HR assistant will help with various payroll, recruiting, scheduling, and training tasks.
The assistant will also act as the primary liaison between the Administrator and other employees.

Essential Functions Create and issue new hire letters to qualified candidates.
Assist in the onboarding process of new hires.
Assist with weekly payroll.
Coordinate initial orientation and training sessions for new hires.
Create and maintain employee files.
Maintain proper records of employee attendance and leaves.
Assist with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties, including issuing fuel and credit cards to new hires, etc.
Assist with new vendor setup, as needed.
Order new technician and manager uniforms, as needed.
Request Motor Vehicle Reports for new hires, as needed.
Perform an annual audit of the employee handbook - creating policies and procedures that enhance our workplace environment.
Act as a liaison between employees and HR - handling all employee requests, managing workflow inboxes, and responding to general requests for information and materials.
Ensure smooth communication with employees and timely resolution to their inquiries.
Act as liaison between HR and Recruiting departments regarding vital information on new hires.
Office point of contact to register guests with building security.
Assists in providing recruitment and placement services for prospective applicants during the pre-employment session, including completing new hire documents.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion, The qualified candidate should have the utmost importance for privacy and confidentiality concerning employee's personal information and compensation.
Strong organizational skills that reflect the ability to seamlessly perform and prioritize multiple tasks with excellent attention to detail.
Expert level written and verbal communication skills.
Highly resourceful team player who can also complete tasks extremely effectively independently.
Demonstrated ability to achieve high-performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams, as well as the ability to learn in-house software systems, are a must! Preferred
Qualifications:
One to two years experience in Human Resources, Business Management, or related fields.
Ability to work independently, under deadlines, with minimal to no supervision.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, and Social Media web platforms.
Working knowledge of web-based software, the ability to quickly learn various applicable human resource software as needed.
Superior interpersonal and oral communication skills with the ability to relate well and cooperate with others to effectively coordinate activities and accomplish goals.
Reports to:
Administrator.
Salary:
Starting at $20/hour.
Salary will be based on individual applicants' experience level.
Location:
Montgomery, Alabama - if the applicant is located outside of Montgomery, they must be willing to travel to Montgomery on an as-needed basis during the work week.

This job is a hybrid role:
some work-from-home days and some days required to report to the Montgomery Office.

Must be able to carry and transport up to 20 pounds up to 20 feet.
Travel:
Travel is not required.
