The primary purpose of this position is to serve as senior cost/operations research lead in the AFPEO/BES/GBB Division at Maxwell AFB Gunter Annex, ALThis is a NH-1515-03 non-supervisory position responsible for all cost estimating and analyses services required to provide decision support to senior division leadership for the BCAT I, II, and III programs across the Business Systems portfolio Duties for this position typically include, but not limited to:
o Cost estimating/analysis duties, to include, Program Office Estimates (POE), Independent Government Estimates (IGCE), and special studies; building and delivering the annual POEs for coordination and approval to the AFLCMC/FZC cost chief, or designee, prior to the Program Objective Memorandum (POM) submission.
Validates Cost and Software Data Reporting (CSDR) CDRL submissions.
Reconciles estimates with the Air Force Cost Analysis Agency as requiredo Oversees and/or supports source selection cost panel activities for business systems' software acquisitionso Utilizes cost methodologies, applies software estimation tools and software applications to perform various analyses and cross-checkso Prepares and maintains detailed cost documentation appropriate for all cost projects and deliverables supportedo Supports organizational peer and sufficiency reviews across various directorate programs' POEs, EAs, special studies efforts, etc.
, o Works collegially with integration lead, budget leads, program managers, and contractors across two geographically separate locations (MAFB Gunter-Annex, Montgomery, AL and WPAFB, OH) This announcement may be used to fill similar position(s).

Degree:
in operations research; or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statisticsAt least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.
An advanced degree in a closely-related discipline is highly desired Nominees must have:
Specialized experience at the GS-12, NH-03 or equivalent grade in order to qualify for this position.
