Description and Desired Qualifications
CH2M HILL - Project Manager Careers - Montgomery, Alabama The challenge? Providing exceptional support for infrastructure engineering, operations, maintenance, repair, and construction services to US Department of the Air Force and other government and military clients. The Civil Engineer Manager reports directly to the on-site CH2M HILL Program Manager. The Civil Engineer Manager position oversees and supervises all engineering and facility operations for the Maxwell Base Operations Support (BOS) services contract at USAF Air Education and Training Command's (AETC) Maxwell Gunter Air Force Base.
The Civil Engineer Manager independently applies engineering technical and operational knowledge to meet contract requirements to operate, maintain and repair buildings and structures, mechanical systems (including heating, ventilation and air conditioning/refrigeration systems), steam distribution system, electrical distribution and emergency generating systems, facility alarm and monitoring systems, utilities and surfaced areas, and perform associated engineering services management and environmental and emergency management tasks.
Our Civil Engineer Managers :
Manages multi-discipline engineering and facility/ infrastructure operations delivery; executes contracted work
Plans, directs, supervises, and controls the execution of all technical and administrative functions of the engineering function
Monitors and reports to project management on the progress of all activities, including significant milestones, and any conditions which would affect project cost or schedule
Supervises the key base engineering support staff; includes hiring, training, and monitoring and evaluating performance authority.
Must be a U.S. citizen.

Role requires successful completion of multiple contingencies to include an Employment Background Check, Physical and Drug Test.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineer or Architecture from an ABET Accredited University
Minimum 10 years supervisory experience; demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams 5 years AF experience at the Flight Level or above
Experience in the use of Microsoft Office standard computer programs. Professional Registration
Preferred Qualifications
Masters Degree Government contract experience
Excellent communicator (written and oral); ability to communicate clearly and concisely; listen attentively and integrate large volumes of information from multiple sources.
Experience in applying analytical and process improvement techniques
