Overview of Job Function:
Works with members of the development and support organization and is responsible for ensuring high quality standards and integrity of the Verint Systems software suite. Has solid working knowledge of commonly used QA concepts, best practices, and procedures within the Quality Assurance field.
Principal Duties and Essential
Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain QA artifacts including, but not limited to test plans, test cases, scripts, and metrics/reports;
Contribute to story grooming and design reviews for specific project;
Contribute to test plan and test case reviews;
Contribute to usability, integration, documentation or functional testing;
Participates in scrum ceremonies, such as daily standups, story tasking, sprint planning, story demos, and retrospectives. Produce and use metrics to continuously approve the process of building software and the associated artifacts;
Help ensure the quality and completeness of team deliverables;
Provide effective communication with geographically distributed team members;
Escalate urgent issues to scrum master and quality assurance management;
Operates under general supervision;
Support and/or install software applications /operating systems, as well as manage multiple testing environments; Solicit feedback from support centers to improve testing methods;
Execute verification and validation procedures based on the test plan and test cases;
Document test results in repository;
Record and verify defects using defect tracking tool with the ability to prioritize the severity;
Assist with software turnover to operations and professional services.
Minimum Requirements:
BS in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field or equivalent education and work experience;
Minimum 3 years' solid testing experience using software development life cycle (SDLC) with major focus on functional testing, usability testing and integration testing, or relevant support/development experience of enterprise or CRM software;
Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment;
Experience with databases, data warehousing, client/server applications, web-based enterprise applications, java applications, and end-user documentation;
Experience with applications using SQL Server or Oracle is required; must be able to query databases;
Understanding of quality assurance standards and best practices, Agile methodologies, Scrum, and software development life cycle (SDLC);
Understands basic networking and/or telephony technologies;
Ability to create and maintain quality assurance artifacts. Artifacts include, but are not limited to, test cases, test plans, testing strategies, and certification reports;
Ability to estimate tests, produce regular status reports, and prioritize tasks;
Must have strong troubleshooting skills, and have ability to perform root cause analysis;
Ability to install and maintain test environments, including installations of operating systems;
Possess good written and verbal communication skills;
Successful completion of Verint background screening process including, but not limited to, employment verifications, criminal search, OFAC, and SS verification; and,
Successful completion of a credit check for travel related roles.
Preferred Requirements:
Testing with enterprise, call center, data analytic or back office applications;
Experience using defect tracking tools and quality/test management tools such as HP Quality Center;
Experience writing and/or executing Automation test scripts using WinRunner, QTP, Ranorex, Selenium, or similar tools;
Knowledge of PCI Security Standards, encryption, firewalls, and top layer security;
Experience testing on virtual environments using VMware, Hyper-V, or Xen Server;
Understanding of thin clients, virtual servers, and virtual desktops;
Fast learner and able to pick up new ideas and approaches quickly;
Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills;
Ability to interact successfully with multiple teams across the global organization, including services and support for all regions;
Some overnight travel may be required to customer or partner sites.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
