Quality Manager
Position
Summary:
The Quality Manager has a vital role to play in helping the business deploy the correct methods, tools, and processes to ensure that Product Quality meets or exceeds our customers' expectations. This position also functions as the liaison between the customer and manufacturing, providing strategic direction and establishing priorities as it relates to customer quality.
Accountabilities:
Metrics & Quality Leadership
Proactively monitor, measure and report plant performance in Key Quality Management Metrics. Identify, prioritize and ensure specific focus on opportunities in areas ofbusiness impact: Waste, Returns & Allowances, Customer Concerns, and Product Audits.
Continuous Improvement
Foster process improvement with participation in identification and elimination of process failure modes. Drive closed loop corrective action and preventative action
improvements. Identify and share best practices across divisions. Lead and comply with all standardization efforts and implementation of best practices.
Customer Intimacy
Create and maintain positive relationships with sales team members and customers. Facilitate exchange of product quality feedback between sales and operations (Regular meetings with Sales-Ops Quality Focus Groups, customer visits). Proactively measure and monitor quality performance with top customers.
Quality Systems
Ensure effective execution and administration of Business System, including - Facilitating Quarterly Management Reviews, Developing and maintaining inspection and audit procedures for supplier and in-house quality.
Position Requirements:
Demonstrated skills to drive change through inspiration and influence as opposed to direct reporting structure.
Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships.
Executes with passion and enthusiasm.
Exceptional leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
Highly developed problem solving and project management skills (Six Sigma certification and lean manufacturing experience preferred).
Demonstrated professional development and coaching skills
90-97k, full relocation.
Candidate MUST have the above qualifications for consideration!!
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
